The works purchased for this exhibition demonstrated the Council’s re-engagement with craft after a hiatus of nearly 30 years. The selection focussed on a generation that were working with their own interpretations of traditional methods, and those experimenting with new forms and techniques. The show originated in 1987, and continued to tour until 1992. An exhibition catalogue, with am introduction by Martina Margetts and entries by Muriel Wilson, accompanied the show.
