THE REAL IDEAL: UTOPIAN IDEALS AND DYSTOPIAN REALITIES
The Real Ideal follows the huge success of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller: Recent Works in 2004. The exhibition responds to and reflects contemporary life, feeding on utopian ideas and the conflicting, imperfect reality of everyday life. It contains visually stunning works in a range of media to convey both the ideal and the reality, showing work by artists who present things that are not quite as they seem, including internationally renowned artists, Pipilotti Rist and Gregory Crewdson. New work is being commissioned from Michael Samuels, Theo Kaccoufa and Katie Deith.
