The British Council Collection promotes British artists and artists who have contributed to the development of British art, by purchasing their work at a significant stage in their careers and enabling it to reach a global audience.

New Faces is an exhibition of artworks from the Collection that shows the range of artists that we have supported in recent years by acquiring their work. In the last four years alone we have purchased paintings, films, sculptures, prints, drawings and multi-media artworks by 93 artists and have helped these objects to travel around the world as part of our international exhibitions and through loans to museums and galleries.
