An exhibition of paintings arranged by the Welsh Committee of the Arts Council.

This was the fifth in a series of touring exhibitions presented by the Welsh Committee of the Arts Council, and was the first group of paintings by Matthew Smith to be shown in Wales. The exhibition was selected by Kathleen Armistead. A catalogue, with an introduction by the selector and appreciations by artists and critics, was published to accompany the show. No ISBN number.
