An exhibition of 119 paintings selected by Andrew Carduff Ritchie, with Sir Philip Henry (Diretor fthe National Gallery), Sir John Rothenstein (Director of the Tate Gallery) and Sir Herbert Read. A catalogue with an introduction by Ritchie and biographies of the selected artists was published by the Museum of Modern Art to accompany the exhibition.
