Film POP considers how Pop artists took film, its characters, themes and iconography, as reference material for their art. The exhibition features a selection of works on sci-fi, horror, murder mystery and western themes.

We highlight Pop’s fascination with contemporary sex symbols and icons and reveal how artists found inspiration in cinema premises, studio workshops and the glitzy signature identity of Hollywood.

Includes work by Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton, Jann Haworth, Colin Self, Jim Dine, Nicholas Monro, Andy Warhol and Gerald Laing.
