An exhibition mounted as part of the Canterbury Centenary celebrations. Two of three galleries in the museum covered British painting from Hogarth and Turner; works were drawn from collections in New Zealand and the UK. The third gallery was given over to contemporary works selected by Herbert Read and Basil Taylor.
