An exhibition of small paintings selected by Alan Bowness. The original intention had been to use the exhibition as the British contribution to the Saô Paulo Bienal. The structure then adopted by the Bienal organisers made the show unsuitable. The majority of the works were purchased for the British Council collection. A tri-lingual (English/Portuguese/Spanish) with an essay by Alan Bowness was published to accompany the show.
Following showings in Brazil the exhibiton travelled to Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Norway, Denmark, Romania and Belgium
