BRITISH POSTERS 1890-1980
An exhibition of over 90 important vintage posters, chosen for their historical value and design impact. Posters became recognised as an art form only in the late 19th century and this exhibition includes work by the best of the British poster artists, including John Hassall, McKnight Kauffer and Beardsley. There are posters from many fields, commercial, theatrical and public information. London Transport’s famous series is well represented.
