TYNE COTT 1977 Anthony Benjamin (1931 – 2002) P3127
An exhibition of 56 prints selected by Pat Gilmour and accompanied by an illustrated catalogue with a text by the selector. The exhibition originated in 1977 and continued touring until 1989. The exhibition was arranged in response to an invitation from Mr Herman Hebler, organiser of the Frederikstad International Biennale of Graphic Art. Whereas the previous decade had been dominated by screenprinting, this exhibition included works in a variety of media beside because as Gilmour wrote in her introduction, ‘The screen is in retreat’.
