BARBARA HEPWORTH
An exhibition of photographs of sculpture and drawings with some original bronzes arranged by the British Council. The tour of the exhibition was initiated in 1960 and a catalogue with an introduction by Alan Bowness was published to accompany the show. Bi-lingual versions (Arabic/English; Chinese/English) of the catalogue were published in country. The exhibition was subsequently revised in 1975 with an additional bronze lent by the artist, and the catalogue reissued with an essay introduction by Douglas Hall. No ISBN numbers..

Bronze
A metal alloy made from copper with up to two-thirds tin, often with other small amounts of other metals. Commonly used in casting. A work cast in bronze is sometimes referred to as 'a bronze'.

Sculpture

Contemporary practice also includes live elements, as in Gilbert & George 'Living Sculpture' as well as broadcast work, radio or sound sculpture.
