An exhibition organised by the Scottish Arts Council and selected by David Baxandall. The purpose of the exhibition was to recall the remarkable flowering of new life in English painting and sculpture that took place between about 1924 and 1940. Artists: Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Paul Nash, Ben Nicholson, Ceri Richards, Alfred Wallis and Christopher Wood.

  • Painting
