Anish Kapoor. Space and Place--The Experience of Spirituality
Anish Kapoor is one of the most influential and internationally renowned artists of our time. This landmark exhibition is the first major show of Kapoors work to be held in Galleri F 15, Moss this summer. The solo show has been carefully selected featuring important earlier works from the Arts Council and British Council collections presented alongside the Sky Mirror from the artist’s studio together with other loans from Norway.
Sky Mirror - will be placed in the beautiful baroque garden in front of the main building of Galleri F 15. The sculpture pulls the sky down to the earth in a sublime union of the elemental forces of landscape; presenting a proposition about space and the nature of the object that is such a central enquiry in Kapoor’s work.
This comprehensive exhibition will bring together sensual and beguiling sculptures from some of the diverse language of materials Kapoor works in, from pigment, stone, mirror, prints and gouache drawings.
