Glasgow International Festival of Visual Arts is a two week visual arts event that takes place across the city of Glasgow every two years. Highlighting the cultural vibrancy of the city and the UK, the Festival presents world-class exhibitions, events, talks and tours by local, national and international artists. With many of the city's major cultural venues participating alongside artist-run and pop-up spaces, Glasgow International presents a diverse snapshot of contemporary art practice.

The programme contains works and exhibitions by many British artists including several who have work in the British Council Collection such as: Karla Black, Jeremy Deller, Alan Kane, Rosalind Nashashibi and Richard Wright.
