Summary
Psychedelic pop collective The Move were formed from former members of many other bands from the Birmingham live circuit. During their seven years together, they had nine top 20 UK singles. The third of these singles was their signature song Flowers In The Rain, which was the first track to be played on BBC Radio 1. While they had started as a five-piece, by the 1970s, The Move had become a trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan. These three members soon dissolved the band and formed the infinitely more successful Electric Light Orchestra. Wood also garnered success with his own band Wizzard.
