Lizzie Reakes studied at Watford College of Art and later undertook a degree in carpet and floor covering design at Kidderminster. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and has published various books relating to the rag rug technique: Ragwork (The New Craft Series), Lorenz Books,1996; Beautiful Ragwork, St Martin’s Press, 2002; Rag and Remnants, Southwater, 2004.
