Ronald Grierson studied at Hammersmith School of Art and at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art under Iain MacNab. He was best known as a textile designer; an exhibition of his carpet designs was shown at the Redfern Gallery in 1936. His prints were mainly linocuts with semi-abstract, almost surrealist, imagery.
