Summary
Winstanley’s work captures the transitory nature of the spaces he paints, and suggests a ‘stretched’ sense of time and refers to a contemporary representation of the experience of unbounded landscape, in the cinematic convention of the road movie. The blurred view through the window of a travelling car represents a view of the landscape as it is most readily experienced today.
