We are delighted that a new acquisition to the British Council Collection, Martin Creed's Work No: 1094 (2011) has been long-listed for Art Everywhere 2014.
Art Everywhere is an entirely charitable project that aims to flood our streets with great artworks for a summer long outdoor show voted for by the public. Across the UK, tens of thousands of posters from roadside billboards and underground stations, to bus shelters, motorway services, national rail networks, shopping centres, airports and more will see the nation's favourite British art for 6 whole weeks.
77 artworks have been shortlisted, from the very classical to the very contemporary, and can be viewed in full on the Art Everywhere Facebook page. To vote for your favourite, simply click ‘Like’.
Martin Creed’sphotographic ‘Work 1094’, featuring dogs Orson and Sparky,is an exciting recent acquisition to the British Council Collection. In addition to its new life travelling the world as part of our exhibition programme, it would be wonderful to see it larger than life throughout the UK.
We hope you will vote for the work and support Art Everywhere in its admirable endeavour.
