Summary
By the late 1960s Self had begun to use photographs for printmaking, this culminated in the series Power and Beauty. The images were drawn from a variety of commercial photographs of animals and birds, and the world’s first customised car. Using a photographic half-tone, each image is rendered so the appearance and character of the original is transformed by scale
