Summary
Kismet is a three act play written by Edward Knoblauch (anglicized ro Knoblock) in 1911 for the theatre producer Oscar Asche. Asche revised and shortened the original play, and played the lead role, Hajj, opposite Lily Brayton as Marsinah. (Brayton was a classical actress). Kismet/i> was later made into a musical film in 1955 with a score adapted from the work of Alexander Borodin.
