Summary
It's hard to find a progressive rock band as consistent as King Crimson. From their 1969 debut 'In The Court of the Crimson King' (whose cover still adorns many a T-shirt), they have built a career on ambition and reinvention. They have embraced influences as far-reaching as neo-classical, jazz, folk, and later on, new-wave and musique concrète. While the line-up has changed, King Crimson have continued to tour and release albums beloved by both critics and audiences, right into the present decade. Their music continues to be influential today. Kanye West sampling '21st Century Schizoid Man' on his block-buster album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' both confirmed their endurance and won them a fresh wave of interest.
