Summary
John Boynton Priestly (1894-1984) was born in Bradford, Yorkshire in the North of England. His literary output was immense, and embraced subjects from realist novels to travelogues. His best known novel is probably The Good Companions (published 1929), an account of the adventures of theatrical troupe and the play An Inspector Calls (1947): a moral thriller
