Summary
This work comes from the book Remains of Elmet, first published in 1979 by Faber & Faber, with poems by Ted Hughes. Howarth Parsonage was built in 1778-9 and was the home of the Bronte sisters, whose novels included Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and Shirley.
