Summary
D H Evans was a general department store on Oxford Street founded by Dan Harris Evans in 1879. The company began in small premises and by 1937 occupied a building, with a 140-foot frontage, on Oxford Street. It comprised eight and a quarter acres of selling space arranged over eight floors. The company was later taken over by House of Fraser and the shop rebranded as such in 2001.
