Summary
A Greek Slave is a musical comedy in two acts, with libretto by Owen Hall and score by Sidney Jones, produced by George Edwardes ‘s and first staged at Daly’s Theatre, London in 1898. The plot centres around the tangled love lives and misunderstandings of a Roman household; it said to have been a source of inspiration for A Funny Thing happened on the Way to the Forum by Stephen Sondheim, and could certainly be regarded as an Edwardian version of Up Pompeii,/p>
