THE LONDON PORTFOLIO
In 1991 Charles Booth-Clibborn invited a group of artists to contribute to this portfolio: there was no thematic link between their work but they all belonged to the same generation who were coming to critical attention at the time the portfolio was published, and were all based in London . The only stipulations were that the works had to be of a uniform size (76 x 89 cm) and that they should be two-dimensional. With the exception of Langlands & Bell all the artists chose to work in screenprint, a medium well adapted to the then prevailing use of photography and the use of appropriated images. The portfolio was published in 1992 by Charles Booth-Clibborn under his imprint The Paragon Press and printed at Coriander (London) Ltd in an edition of 65.
