Summary
The glamour of Los Angeles and Hollywood had an immediate appeal to Hockney when he first visited in 1964, and it later became his home. In 1965 he was invited by Ken Tyler to work at his Gemini studio and here Hockney made a series of six lithographs collectively entitled A Hollywood Collection. The artist saw these as being an instant ready framed art collection of a Hollywood starlet.
