Summary
Oh Joy! was the British adaptation of Oh Boy! , a musical in two acts, with music by Jerome Kern and book and lyrics by Guy Bolton and P G Wodehouse first staged on Broadway in 1917. The story concerns the elopement between George and Lou Ellen and the subsequent placating of parents, Quaker aunt, meanwhile George’s friend Jim is pursing Jackie, an actress, who is trying to extricate herself from a scrape with bumbling constable.
