Summary
Paradise for Two (also known as Gaiety Girls) is a British film directed by Thornton Freeland and released in 1937 The film stars Jack Hulbert and Patricia Ellis and the plot involves a chorus girl being mistaken for millionaire’s girlfriend. All ends happily with true identities revealed and starring roles all round.
Jack Hulbert (1982-1978) was a popular screen comedian who appeared in the theatre, on television and radio, more often than not with his wife Cicely Courtneidge. Patricia Ellis (1916-1970) was an American actress; she worked alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars (James Cagney, Bela Lugosi) before retiring in 1941).
