Summary
The small dramas of life are brought to the fore by Boyd Webb’s sense of the absurd. Everyday objects re-enact familiar, real-life scenes whilst the artificiality of the materials he uses speaks of a fabricated nature held together by tenuous links. “Skirmish continues my fascination with representations of nature. Set prior to the invention of the fly screen, I see Skirmish as an interactive souvenir from somewhere hot where flies desport themselves at the whim of the passing viewer.
