Summary
The original poster was designed in 1938 and carried no text. It was re-issued in 1955 and advertised the McKnight Kauffer memorial exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. In addition, it contained these lines from a Thomas Hood poem:
"How bravely Autumn paints upon the sky
The gorgeous fame of Summer which is fled"
