Summary
Gross and his wife, Daisy, spent a belated honeymoon in Cambrils in Catalonia. Gross made three etchings of the town, showing the exuberance of the café and the lassitude of a Sunday afternoon in the hills. The print shows the artist beginning to find a style all his own that employed an economy of line that gave animation to his works.
