Spartacus Chetwynd, born Lali Chetwynd in London, 1973 is an experimental performance artist and painter.

After graduating from the Slade and the Royal College of Art, Chetwynd has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad including solo exhibitions at the Migros Museum, Zurich; Galerie Giti Nourbakhsch, Berlin and the Serpentine Pavilion in London.

Chetwynd is known for her participation to group shows and performance pieces including Stay Forever and Ever (2007) at the South London Gallery, Delirious at the Serpentine Pavilion; L’après Midi d’un Faun (2006) Athens; Do Not Interrupt Your Activities (2005) at the London College of Art; Vilma Gold presents (2003) at Vilma Gold and Dusu Choi at the Institute of Culture, Korea in 2002.

Chetwynd’s work is included in the 2009 Tate Triennale exhibition Altermodern.

The artist lives and works in London.
