Jo Bruton (1967 – )
Jo Bruton, born in Littlehampton in 1967, currently lives and works in London.
She studied at West Sussex College of Art & Design, Exeter College of Art and Design and Chelsea College of Art and Design where she later taught.
Bruton presented solo exhibitions in London at Sadler’s Wells in 2006, Matt’s Gallery in 1997, The Winchester Gallery in 1997 and at Panorama Gallery in Barcelona in 2007.
Her group exhibitions include Celebrations at Kingston University of London in 2007, Conversing at University of the Arts in 2006, Variety at De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill on Sea in 2005, but not as we know it at Kontainer Gallery in Los Angeles in 2004, Miniature at Raid Projects in Los Angeles and the Kyubidou Gallery in Tokyo in 2002 and A question of scale at Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol in 1996.
Bruton has taught at Chelsea College of Art and Design, Winchester School of Art, Southampton University and in many other colleges as a visiting lecturer.
