Wendela Boreel (1895 – 1985)
Wendela Boreel was born of American and Dutch painters. She was pupil-assistant to the painter Walter Richard Sickert. Boreel is probably best known for her etchings of figure subjects and portraits. Her interest in the medium dwindled after her marriage in 1924. She exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London and with the New English Art Club.
