Ralph Barton (1891 – 1931)
Ralph Barton was born in Missouri and is best known for his caricatures and cartoons for American publications such as Vanity FairThe New Yorker. Anita Loos was the author of Gentleman prefer Blondes (published 1925) for which Barton supplied the illustrations. The novel was subsequently made into a musical and, most famously, a film starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell.
