Summary
The Gay Gordons was one of a series of musicals written by Seymour Hicks and produced by Charles Frohman in the 1900s. It was first performed in 1907 and was damned with faint praise in The New York Times (12 September 1907)
A large company of men in the kilts of a Highland regiment, and the women in beautiful gowns, are effectively handled in several scenes. There are two excellent songs and a number of fetching dances. Such dramatic interest as the plot contained did not outlast the first act, and at times the second act was very tedious.
