What happens when art and love collide?
In Relation brings together the work of nine artist couples who made an indelible mark on British art. In this diverse exhibition of historic works, we consider how these iconic romantic partnerships inspired experimentation and collaboration, and radically altered the course of each artist's creative life.
Featuring major loans and works from RWA's permanent collection, In Relation includes some of Britain's most influential couples, including Laura and Harold Knight; Dod and Ernest Procter; Eric Ravilious and Tirzah Garwood; Robert MacBryde and Robert Colquhoun; Rose and Roger Hilton; Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, and Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth.
