Works by Ben Nicholson, Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud were shown alongside Reg Butler's maquette studies for The Unknown Political Prisoner. An exhibition of recent artists' lithographs was also shown, these were later toured by the Smithson Institute to public galleries in New York State, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennesee, Georgia, Louisiana, Indiana, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Virgina. In 1958 the works travelled to venues in Canada.
