The British section of this international exhibition was organised by the British Council and comprised the works from the touring exhibition Contemporary Artists Lithographs, with the additional of two paintings by Paul Nash ands Graham Sutherland.

29 countries exhibited, including four from Communist area. The exhibition travelled to other cities in India before being returned to their respective countries.
