Summary

Josiah Wedgwood and Sons began their relationship with Ravilious following an introduction from a fellow Royal College student, Cecilia Dunbar Kilburn (later Lady Sempill). Garden Implements jug forms part of a lemonade set and used the stock Wedgwood 'Liverpool Jug' shape. The front shows a wooden barrel containing various garden implements and the reverse has eight vignettes including a cat sleeping on a wall, bees buzzing around the hive, a wheelbarrow and a greenhouse.
