Summary

“The table is a very important object for me within the home. Here, there is the opportunity to socialise, to debate, celebrate and to contemplate. The table can be the focal point around which we live our lives. Most importantly it provides the surface upon which I can introduce exciting structures and new concepts into the home. This is where my silver is intended to live. I have used silver with the intention of reducing its prominence within each piece; rather emphasising the least expensive elements, the fruit. In executing this reversal of tradition I am creating innovative, contemporary and poetic objects that are a breath of fresh air in the area of domestic silver. My aim is to make pieces that bring silver into a more contemporary field that will enhance modern living.”
