Applications are now open for UK-based artists to take part in a 45-day residency in Ukraine later this year.

Now in its second year, the SWAP: UK/Ukraine Artist Residency Programme is led by the British Council in Ukraine and the Liverpool Biennial. It aims to connect artists from Ukraine and the UK, and support their professional development and internationalisation.

The SWAP programme is in collaboration with Ukrainian partners, Mystetskyi Arsenal, Izolyatsia. Platform for Cultural Initiatives, Soshenko 33 Art Studios, YermilovCentre, Kharkiv Municipal Art Gallery; and Liverpool-based partners, The Bluecoat, FACT and Open Eye Gallery.

There is also an opportunity for Ukraine-based artists looking to spend up to 45-days in a Liverpool-based residency curated by the Liverpool Biennial team in September-October 2017.
