Summary

“A hole is cut by hand out of a sheet of paper. The shape of the hole follows the silhouette contour of a ubiquitous consumer product whose effects on us is both visible and invisible. The paper with the cut-hole is folded turning a flat plane into a standing object. The absent product hovers around this two/three dimensional hole. These paper cut-outs relate to a set of four cibachrome photographs of the same title in which similar holes were cut out of lengths of natural woven cloth.”
