Barbara Greg (1900 – 1983)
Barbara Greg was born in Styal, Cheshire; she studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London under Norman Janes whom she later married. Her earliest jobs were designs for endpapers and for the piano rolls produced by the Aeolian Company. Her clear, bold designs are of simple naturalism, unpressured by thirties modernism.
