Harry Becker was born in Colchester, Essex. He studied at Antwerp Academy and in the atelier of Carolus Duran in Paris. For a time he lived in London with his family, moving to Suffolk in 1912 living first at Wenhaston and later at Darsham. He exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. In 1908 designed murals for Selfridges department store in London. He is best known for his pictures of the local agricultural landscape.
